Yao ceremonial paintings Set6
A set of fourteen (14) main paintings on bamboo or mulberry paper, accompanied by its Bridge to Heaven, all in fairly good condition.
Several have been reinforced at the upper ends with backing patches. A small section is missing at the left end of the Dragon bridge, with indigenous restoration.
Gold leaf patches were originally applied for decorative enhancement, they are present but barely noticeable on these photos.. None bear any writing on the reverse.
Mien Yao minority, region of Luang Namtha, Northern Laos.
