Yao ceremonial paintings Set21
A set of fifteen (15) main paintings on mulberry paper, in good condition.
A few patches have been applied to the edges to reinforce minor tears or creases. Some discoloration is present. The bamboo shafts of most paintings remain in place at the top and bottom.
The owner’s name (on the left) and the name of the depicted figure are written on the reverse of most paintings.
Mien Yao minority, region of Luang Namtha, Northern Laos.
