Yao ceremonial paintings Set3

A set of seventeen (17) main paintings, accompanied by 3 smaller-sized Messengers, two masks with their original attachments (to be worn on the priest’s forehead) and the crown which has 7 painted panels and two flaps. All are in very good condition.
The bamboo shafts at each end are all present and the paper (bamboo or mulberry) is thick. On each painting, the name of the new owner is written on the reverse in red, while the previous owner’s name appears in black and is crossed out (see second photo). Note the long strip of caligraphed rice paper on painting set3C (depicting To Ta, the eldest of the Three Pure Ones).
The Bridge to Heaven was not present at time of acquisition.
