Nagaland grain mortar S4i
Monoxylous champak wood mortar with six holes where the ladies used to pound grain in rythm. Can now be used as a primitive coffee table.
Sema Naga tribe, Nagaland, North-Eastern India.
19th century.
277 cm long x 47 to 53 cm high and 63 cm wide.
