Chin prestige necklace BU604
A necklace or bandolier made with four rows of boar incisors sewn onto a hemp cloth. These teeth are worn on the shoulder, and four rows of red glass beads plus a row of tiny metal rings, spaced with bronze bells, are worn at the front of the torso. These necklaces, as well as the better-known ones adorned with muntjac teeth, are not only decorative but also hold cultural significance, symbolizing status and identity within the community.
