Mother-of-pearl buttons necklace NA221
Necklace made of seven large antique mother-of-pearl buttons (19th c.), some engraved and originally decorating « jumlo » dresses of Kohistan, a mountainous region of Pakistan. They are secured on a braided rattan support with the help of silver buttons, anf of a marble engraved bead from the 2nd millenium BC (BMAC).
